Vegas baby!

Monday morning I, along with 5 other staffers from WCCC, board a plan for Las Vegas. We will be taking in a couple shows, one of them being Love by Cirque Du Soleil. Some of the rooms in Vegas will show us prime examples of a few concepts we have in mind, one being ‘in the round’ or arena staging. As we head into the planning for Phase 3 of our campus expansion we will be doing a lot of research and observation that will hopefully, and prayerfully, develop into an auditorium perfect for our call to preach the Gospel. Proven by the current facility and auditorium, we do not want to build a building or room of a traditional church nature but one that is extremely intentional for community and communication.

We are hoping to have the conceptual/schematic drawings done by January or February and will move into the capital campaign late summer/early fall. We have a lot of work ahead of us especially with the holiday’s right splat in the middle. There will be little time for the blackjack table so don’t be asking me if I can take a 5 and play it for you.

I can’t wait to see the final design of the new auditorium will be. And I’m not promising to update you on the trip like I did back in August when we went to Oklahoma. But maybe I will post a few pics from the trip….if there are any for public viewing that is!
